New York Public Radio Announces Three New Board of Trustees Members
(New York, NY — May 16, 2024) — The New York Public Radio (NYPR) Board of Trustees today announced the appointment of three new members. Katie Danziger, Founder of Nomie Baby LLC; Jeffrey C. LeFrancois, Executive Director of the Meatpacking District Management Association; and Roberto Ruiz, Executive Vice President, Research, Insights & Analytics at TelevisaUnivision were elected at the May Board of Trustees meeting.
NYPR is one of the nation’s foremost public media organizations, home to WNYC, WQXR, WNYC Studios, Gothamist, The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space, and New Jersey Public Radio.

Katie Danziger is a board member of Planned Parenthood New York, where she was Chair from 2016-2020 and has served in various leadership roles since 2008. She is an entrepreneur and the founder of Nomie Baby. She has also worked as a Marketing Manager at Viewer’s Choice Pay-Per-View and a Promotions Manager at The National Sports Daily. She has extensive nonprofit board experience and has served on the Dalton School Board, and still serves on the Mt. Sinai and Century Country Clubs Boards. She is a fifth generation New Yorker.
Jeffrey C. LeFrancois is the Meatpacking District Management Association’s Executive Director, charged with ensuring thriving retail, commercial, and residential communities in the cutting-edge, ever-evolving neighborhood. In this role, he has shepherded the creation and management of 30,000 square feet of plazas and four open streets in the Meatpacking District. LeFrancois’ deep connection to the West Side manifests in his work to improve access to city services, expand housing opportunities, and make NYC a safer, more equitable place. Prior to his work in the Meatpacking District, LeFrancois served as Chief of Staff to Council Member Corey Johnson. Before working in the City Council, he was Deputy Chief of Staff to Assembly Member Richard N. Gottfried. Currently, LeFrancois is a board member and co-secretary of the NYC BID Managers Association, serves on the board of Housing Conservation Coordinators, and is a Governor’s appointee to the Hudson River Park Trust Board of Trustees. He chaired Manhattan Community Board 4 from 2021-2023 and propelled the board’s Affordable Housing Plan, which calls for the creation of nearly 30,000 new apartments. He lives in Hell’s Kitchen.
Roberto Ruiz is Executive Vice President, Research, Insights & Analytics at TelevisaUnivision, the world’s leading Spanish-language media and content company. Ruiz helps advertisers and partners better engage with the growing U.S. Hispanic population. During his fifteen-year tenure, he has been instrumental in driving revenue growth and new brand activation through research & insights innovation. He has also been an influential industry advocate for accurate measurement of minority consumers. In 2020, TelevisaUnivision’s Research and Insights team was ranked as #1 among major TV networks according to research firm Advertiser Perceptions. A Hispanic marketing expert, Ruiz founded Consumer Contacts, a boutique consulting firm, and was a founding partner at The Vidal Partnership, a Hispanic advertising agency in New York, twice recognized by AdAge as “Agency of the Year.” Ruiz immigrated to the U.S. from his native Venezuela in 1993 to pursue an MBA from The George Washington University.
