WNYC Studios Launches Season 4 of SOOO MANY WHITE GUYS with PHOEBE ROBINSON
New Episode Available Today Features JAMEELA JAMIL
Upcoming Guests Include PADMA LAKSHMI, VANESSA BAYER, ROY WOOD JR., and More
(New York, NY – March 19, 2019) – The fourth season of the critically-acclaimed interview podcast Sooo Many White Guys with Phoebe Robinson launched today, WNYC Studios announced.
Praised by NBC’s Today for “making waves in the podcast world” and by Fortune for “getting others to open up to shine a light [on] what mainstream media might otherwise miss,” Sooo Many White Guys stars Robinson in conversation with trailblazing entertainers, artists, writers, and activists… who aren’t straight white dudes.
Kicking off season four, today’s new episode features actress Jameela Jamil (The Good Place) and is available here. New episodes of the podcast will be released each Tuesday. Among others, guests will include author and television host Padma Lakshmi (Top Chef), actress and comic Vanessa Bayer (Saturday Night Live), and comic Roy Wood Jr. (The Daily Show).
Co-host of the hit WNYC Studios comedy podcast and the HBO series 2 Dope Queens, Robinson is the New York Times bestselling author of the books You Can’t Touch My Hair and Other Things I Still Have to Explain and Everything’s Trash, But It’s Okay. Robinson also appears in Ibiza (Netflix) and What Men Want, out now. This spring, Robinson will moderate multiple conversations with Michelle Obama over the course of Obama’s Becoming book tour in arenas around the world.
“To be back for a fourth season of Sooo Many White Guys means we’re bolder, smarter, and older (shout out to mattresses with lumbar support) than ever before,” said Robinson. “In all seriousness, I’m so proud of this season not only because I’ve grown so much as a host and interviewer, but also because of the caliber of guests I have on the lineup. They are moving the needle in pop culture as well as trying to leave a positive mark on the world. I’m grateful to be the vessel that allows them to connect with their fans. But enough with the warm and fuzzies. This show is damn funny, too, and I won’t let my parents listen to an episode because I use the word ‘peen.’ They don’t need to put up with that.”
In past seasons, Sooo Many White Guys guests have included Issa Rae, Gayle King, Constance Wu, Roxane Gay, Vivica A. Fox, and “token white guy” Tom Hanks.
